Anger! Injustice! Baptisms!

(At the time of writing, it is March 23, 2009, but I set the publish date to March 27, only because I have some close friends that read this blog that may not yet know the situation at the time of writing). I write this posting not to condemn anyone, but I write in full respect, just to show how folly and broken we are as humans sometimes. A few weeks ago, a friend of mine decided that he wanted to get baptized on Easter at my former church. He is a solid christian dude, has been so for many years and one of the few friends that I would honestly describe as wise. For whatever reason, he just never to pulled the trigger on getting baptized until now. So he got word this weekend from the church committee that his request for baptism had been rejected. They felt he has been too inactive at the church, in serving and in attendance. The whole situation fills me with anger and vitriol. It's all bullshit.
